Structure and Contents

This website provides you with information about the content of each Geodesy and Geoinformatics Bachelor degree module.

The bachelor's course in Geodesy and Geoinformatics lasts for three years - six semesters - and leads to in a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree. Basic subjects taught in the first and second semesters are Practical Geodesy, Mathematics and Physics, Computer Science, Software Development, Computer-Aided Design (CAD), Evaluation Technology and Special Calculation Methods.

Compulsory subjects of the main programme include Applied Mathematics and Adjustment Methods, Practical Geodesy, Satellite Geodesy, Geo-informatics, Photogrammetry and Cartography, Land Survey Registry and Property Law, Valuation and Land Division and Rural Planning. Various study modules are also offered in the main.

In addition to these, in the first, fourth and fifth semester are the activities of the Q-Studies or Studium Fundamentale, in which educational knowledge from art and social and natural sciences is taught in a transdisciplinary way.
